These guys are fantastic! A new car was slightly out of our budget, but a warranty was important to us. House of cars offers a warranty for all of their cars and this is what sold us! We bought a Ford Edge that is in great condition so I don't think we will have to use the warranty, but if we do, its good peace of mind to have! We've enjoyed our experience!
My wife bought a car here. Good people. We spent 7 hours at another dealership and got nowhere. Our salesman got us in and out in about 2 hours. We will be returning soon for another car!
Within a week of purchase, the truck broke down and had to be towed. The warranty they provided had never been used in East Texas according to Elite Warranty, so I asked House of Cars to provide contact info of someone who took it in hopes of salvaging a horrible situation. The owner said he had someone who was currently using the warranty on another vehicle and promised to call me back within a couple hours. To this day, a month plus later, he has never returned my call. What was wrong? Boiled down to the transmission had to be overhauled, and both catalytic converters had to be replaced according to the codes. We thought that was all, but after those were repair to the tune of almost $3500, we thought we were good, but on the drive home, it broke down and had to be towed AGAIN. Upon further digging, they determined it was going to be cheaper to replace the motor. So I have almost $9K more in the vehicle. I didn't know until I asked about someone who would take the warranty of all the things House had fixed on the truck before it was sold to me. I can't believe they didn't know about the issues when it was sold to me and made it out like they were doing me a huge favor tacking on a warranty. We used the warranty to the limit of $1500. Big whoop! 🙁 I get buying a vehicle as-is, but I don't think they were upfront about what was going on when they had had several things fixed before selling it to me and did not disclose that info. Hard to believe a vehicle with those type of major issues were not disclosed by the person who did the repairs for House of Cars.
Excellent buying experience we bought a 2015 Jeep Renegade for our daughter who is 15 to learn to drive. So far we have had lots of fun in the little Jeep upgrading it and making it hers.
I love my car from them. Ive had it a month and having some electrical problems. They told us they got us the bumper to bumper warranty but it is not, its only power train. So now we're stuck b paying it because they lied to us.
